Welcome! 

My name is Allison Newell - I’m the creator behind The Occupied Vase floral design studio. I’m based in the Jefferson Park (West Adams) neighborhood of Los Angeles. 

Floristry brings together my lifelong passion for art, creativity, and nature. My specialty lies in quirky and structural botanical designs that bring a sense of whimsy and wonder into any space. My work is inspired by art nouveau aesthetics, which were largely inspired by the lines, curves, colors, & textures of nature itself.  My arrangements range from minimalist to the more maximalist in approach.
